a tire show in millimeters (mm.)
is an aspect ratio, and
in this example means that the height of tire is 90% of its width.
and
are the diameter of the
wheel shown in inches.
is a load index, not the
actual load weight. The higher the index, the heavier the load allowable.
and is a speed rating
represented by letters "S" up to 180 km/hr, :H" up (air
pressure at maximum within specification).
is the width of the tire
in inches.
Choose
the right tire to match your machine and needs with these factors in
mind. IRC recommends a "break in" period in order to allow
the tire to achieve its best performance.
Check
the tires constantly for wear patterns and to notice cuts and/or foreigh
object. Always run with the correct air pressure.
Motorcycle
tires are important components, and we recommend care when selecting
and changing tires; you'll get the best results if you use your local
shop or dealer for tire selection, mounting and servicing.
